Company Profile

Jenner is a privately owned regional chartered building company that undertakes construction projects throughout Kent and East Sussex. We are rich in tradition, with history spanning all the way back to 1875.

We are modern and forward thinking, managing the challenges of being a modern construction business.

We operate within a number of sectors within the industry including affordable housing, education, healthcare, community, commercial, historical buildings and private housing. The value of projects we undertake ranges from £10,000 to £30m and a selection of these can be viewed in the Projects section.

Based in Folkestone, Kent, we employ approximately 130 staff who work within our Contracts and General Works departments. Our Contracts department undertake larger value projects typically in excess of £1.5m, whilst our General Works department which includes 30 directly employed skilled trades people, undertake the smaller value projects.

We also have a joinery department, Park Farm Joinery, who provide a vital supporting role to our construction business.

Our mission is clear. We strive to provide the very highest quality in terms of the work we produce on site and in our management approach.  We maintain open and honest dialogue, transparency in our negotiations and above all else to achieve complete client satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget and to an exceptional quality.

We advocate an open approach to the management of projects and believe in delivering to the highest quality. Our project policies and procedures are backed by our ISO 9001 Accreditation.

Our organisational structure has developed over the years and remains ideally suited to achieve the ultimate aim of customer satisfaction. Our clients can have the confidence that directors and senior management within the company are involved with the day to day operations of all our construction projects.

We are fully conversant with managing the design process through our experience gained from undertaking design and build contracts and indeed we regularly work with a varied supply chain of designers and consultants. This experience enables us to add value to projects where we are employed on a traditional basis.

Health and Safety

Health and Safety is our main priority. At Jenner, we aim to continuously improve safety standards by providing relevant safety training for and engaging in consultation with our employees. We shall maintain and where possible improve our excellent health and safety record with the co-operation of all our employees and the extended supply chain.

We are a member of Construction Safety (South East) Limited, a third party organisation who carry out expert safety audits on our sites and provide other safety advisory services including safety training for our staff and operatives.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Our corporate social responsibility extends into the local community through a number of different ways. Within the construction industry we are active in supporting the quarterly meeting of similar sized and smaller contractors/subcontractors to promote best practice in training and other industry topics through the voluntary Invicta Construction Training Group. Jenner were one of the founding members of Construction Safety (South East) in the 1960′s and our Construction Director is a volunteer member of the board of that charitable organisation. We remain a major provider of work experience and provide site and office based placements throughout the year for local school and college students.
