The development offers 26 units for shared ownership and market rent and is located on the High Street in the heart of Chatham.
The scheme is named after the old Theatre Royal, a 3,000 seat theatre which sat on the site and closed in the 1950’s.
The scheme has been developed using a two storey concrete frame basement and then 5 floors of timber frame above. The frame provides a thermally efficient envelope and helps to reduce residents bills.
The delivery of the scheme was quite complex due to the sloping nature of the site and a ramp has been provided to connect the basement car parking with the adjoining Manor Road.
The project also provides 2 affordable wheelchair units that meet Lifetime Homes requirements.
