Temple Hill Square officially opened by Lord Attlee

Monday 24th July saw the official opening of our Temple Hill Square project for Dartford Borough Council. Officially named Hill View, the project, which features 25 new homes for local people, was opened by Lord John Attlee.

Lord Attlee is the Grandson of former Prime Minister Clement Attlee, who opened the original Temple Hill Estate back in 1947. Lord Attlee took a tour around two of the properties, before unveiling the street name and a special plaque which commemorates the link between the Attlee family and the Temple Hill Estate. In a speech, Lord Attlee remarked, as his Grandfather did, how important decent homes are to families and their chances at succeeding in life.

The Hill View project is the first homes to be built by the Council for 40 years and provides 12 three bedroom town houses, 12 two bedroom flats and a one bedroom flat. The scheme has been developed using a traditional solution.

We continue to develop new homes for Dartford Borough Council with the start on site of the Coleridge Road and Shaftesbury Avenue scheme, located only 5 minutes away from the Temple Hill Square project and sees 51 further properties developed for local residents.
