Abbeyfield Kent Society joined us on site today to celebrate reaching ‘topping out’ – a significant milestone in the delivery of the £9m Tonbridge Extra Care project on Tudeley Lane.
Under a lovely blue sky, Chairman Zach Miles and CEO Leon Steer climbed to the roof to place a tile with Dean Elvidge, Pre-Construction Director to mark the occasion.
Once complete, Tudeley Lane will offer 59 one and two bedroom apartments for older people. The spacious apartments will offer a dining room, living space and accessible en suite wet rooms as well as access to Abbeyfield’s staff and assistance should they require it. The scheme is due to be completed in Spring 2018 and a show flat is due to be completed next month.
We also presented Abbeyfield with a donation towards their Larkfield Care Home scheme in Maidstone, that will provide homes for military veterans when it opens in Spring 2018. We are very proud to be supporting such a worthy cause and wish Abbeyfield luck with the completion of the scheme, which is also due in Spring 2018.
