Five months on since the world’s first multi-storey skateboarding park officially opened its doors F51 continues to gain rightful recognition for its design and construction with a variety of national industry awards nominations.

Trio of awards nominations for F51!

Date: August 2022

Given his unrelenting enthusiasm to deliver this incredible feat of engineering and undoubtedly the most technically challenging project in the history of Jenner, we are delighted that Senior Site Manager Nigel Griffiths has been shortlisted as an overall finalist for the CIOB’s ‘Construction Manager of the Year Awards 2022’, which is openly considered as the most prestigious accolade in construction.

Nigel has been selected from a stellar line-up of entrants from across the UK, many from Tier 1 contractors and all of whom represent the very best leadership and talent in the built environment sector.  The Silver and Gold Winners from across a variety of categories and the overall ‘Construction Manager of the Year’ Award, will be announced at the gala ceremony in London on 28th September.

Alongside the poignant acknowledgement for Nigel’s tireless efforts to bring the project to life and two finalist positions for the building earlier this year in the SECBE Constructing Excellence awards and the RICS awards, the project has also been shortlisted as a finalist for both the CABE (Chartered Institute of Building Engineers) Built Environment awards and the Building Magazine awards in the ‘Project of the Year’ categories, again alongside an incredibly high calibre of entrants from across the industry and all of which are pushing the boundaries in design, engineering and construction. Winners will be announced in October and November respectively and until then we’ll be keeping everything tightly crossed that this time the project will gain it’s place in pole position and possibly achieve a hat-trick of awards for Team Jenner in constructing this iconic building.
