This project encompassed the relocation of an existing doctor’s surgery at Headcorn in Kent to new modern facilities within the same village.

The new facility comprises 8 no. consulting rooms and 2 no. treatment rooms to the ground floor with staff, admin and medical records in addition to future expansion space on the first floor.

A separate pharmacy area is also incorporated with the ground floor which is separately accessed due to the different opening times with the surgery. We were able to hand this element of the scheme over to the pharmacy operator early which enabled the license for the facility to be maintained and therefore ensured continual operation.

Planning and BREEAM requirements within the scheme led to a comprehensive ecology scheme being incorporated within the design. A pond was installed within the soft landscaping scheme which provided a suitable environment for reptiles.
