Imperial Green Phase 3
Location: Hythe
Client: Imperial Green Ltd
Value: £5.15m
Following on from the successful delivery of Phase 2 and the excellent relations established with our client, Jenner negotiated the final phase of this development of high specification homes, set in the grounds behind the Mercure Hythe Imperial hotel. Phase 3 consisted of the construction of 6 detached houses, 4 semi-detached houses and 7 apartments.
Within the detached homes living space is provided on the second floor in an open plan format to maximise views and all homes are installed with a platform lift. Unique to this phase the master bedrooms feature balconies, again to allow residents to gain full benefit of the surrounding landscape.
The development proved challenging due to the high level of bespoke homeowner options that were offered. Managed via Variation Schedules and design cut-off dates, phases 2 and 3 ultimately created 44 bespoke homes. Phase 3 was delivered with the residents from the previous phases in-situ. Their close proximity to construction activity as well as phased handover of completed units within this phase meant safety and considerate construction was paramount at all times. Excellent relations were established with the local residents:
“We recently bought 22 Imperial Gardens in Hythe, Kent, and have been highly impressed and grateful for the high standards of Jenner Group as a company……. It’s been fascinating watching you coordinate all the different teams of workmen and to see the project approach completion”
The apartments, situated at the front of the site, were finished to a similarly high specification as seen in the houses, with balconies provided that offer spectacular sea views. A feature penthouse apartment has an inset balcony instead of an external balcony enveloping the apartment and is clad in a special Rockpanel Chameleon cladding that changes colour as you see it from different angles.
