The 65 bedroomed three-storey home is situated prominently in close proximity to the town centre and all main road links. The building offers spacious corridors and open plan layouts to maximise natural daylight and ventilation and nurses stations are distributed throughout the building to provide hands-on 24/7 care for the residents.
All ancillary facilities are based on the ground floor including kitchen and laundry facilities, office accommodation as well as a communal cinema room and hairdressing salon. Behind reception area there is a communal café and adequate parking is provided to the front of the building.
Residential accommodation occupies the first and second floors so that those to the front of the building can enjoy the views out to sea. Dining and lounge facilities are also provided on both floors to encourage social interaction between the residents. A secure dementia care area to the rear of the building incorporates a careful colour coding systems helps residents to recognise their own home and memory boxes and bespoke items to alleviate the symptoms of the debilitating disease.
The acquisition of the site and subsequent planning approval to build was secured by Leath Park Developments. Delivery of the care home required demolition of an existing residential property situated on the site. The demolished house was previously known as ‘Ivydene’ and to recognise the heritage of the site the communal café area has been named after the former family home.

Completed in December 2018 the successful delivery of this project has secured two further schemes for Jenner to build in Ashford (Kent) next to the William Harvey Hospital and in Haywards Heath.
