Awarded via the National Framework Partnership, the state-of-the-art flagship Dover Beacon project to be known as ‘The Bench Building’ is situated in the heart of Dover town centre and will transform redundant, brownfield land regenerating it with modern, fit-for-purpose educational, creative, and business facilities thanks to a multi-million-pound grant secured by Dover District Council following their successful bid to the Levelling Up Fund (MHCLG).

This essential regeneration project is set to deliver over £90m of economic benefit, bringing investment to boost jobs, skills and educational opportunities and acting as a catalyst for future investment in the town and district. A further education campus is set to enable local young people to access education, training and skills in creative and digital industries, and a business centre is to provide facilities to support start-ups and help small to medium sized businesses to grow. A creative centre is to facilitate contemporary film making, digital creativity and immersive art.
