Working on behalf of longstanding client Latimer Developments Ltd, which is part of the Clarion Housing Group and the largest social housing provider in UK, the development delivers essential affordable living to the popular Kings Hill location.
With a mix of 80no one and two bed apartments and 86no two, three and four bed houses the properties deliver mixed tenure accommodation across three sites all within close proximity to each other as well as the nearby local amenities.
The houses are a mix of weatherboard clad, tiled and facing brick facades, all of traditional masonry construction with a truss rafter roof whilst the apartments compliment their design with a careful mix of weatherboard, tile, slate and facework facades.
The scheme provides 78 properties for affordable rent, 34 for shared ownership and 54 for private sale on completion in 2021 with show homes delivered in advance to encourage sales.
Working within a well-established, bustling development of pre-occupied homes, shops and businesses the project naturally required regular liaison with the overarching landowner Prologic (formerly known as Liberty Property Trust) and has also fostered good relations with neighbouring developers Bellway Homes and Countryside Properties working on adjacent plots.
As part of our community engagement the site team worked closely with Valley Park Invicta Primary directly opposite one of the sites to prepare vibrant artwork for the site hoarding.
The scheme utilised a high degree of local labour through our known and trusted supply chain which aided delivery through the many challenges of recent times as well as working on the site of a former world war 2 airbase.
